Stitches--NY Post. Won yesterday with the Red Sox. Season record now 74-76.

As for Thursday, flooding due to Ida caused the newspaper not to get distributed this morning. I will check to see if his pick today gets posted on-line (NYPost.com) and will post it if I see it.

We had Frankie Montas (10-9, ERA 3.66) when he snapped the Yankees’ winning streak. We haven’t won since. Montas two-hit the Bombers for seven innings and hasn’t given up a run in his past 14 frames. The A’s are in Detroit. Matt Manning (3-5, 5.46 ERA) has made 12 starts, surrendering 36 runs over 59 total innings. We will take Montas and the Athletics for 20 units.
